Yakima - Kayak Stackers

These tubular components attach to the crossbars and when
folded up into the vertical position, can be used as anchor
and support points for up to 5 whitewater kayaks (when used
with 58" or greater Crossbars). The design allows kayaks to
be stacked on edge against the upright for maximal roof-top
carrying capacity. Paddles can be secured in the opening of
each upright. When not in use, the Stackers can be folded
down to reduce air resistance. For 2001, the straps are included!

Yakima - Mako saddles

The Mako custom-adjusts to fit and cradle a wide range of kayak hull shapes. These
cradles are sold as a pair and incorporate a design that allows the hull to slide smoothly
on the saddle face during loading, but which grips the boat with a "stickier" Dynaflex
material which is pressed against the hull when the strap is tensioned. The strap is nylon
with a padded Ancra (TM) cam-buckle that holds incredible tension while precluding damage to
anything touched by the buckle. All metal components are Stainless-steel for corrosion
resistance. A set of these cradles can be combined with other components such as: HullyRollers,
(sold separately) or another set of Makos.

Yakima - HulleyRoller

The HullyRollers are sold as a pair and provide a rolling saddle that attaches to an
existing set of Yakima towers and crossbars (sold separately) to permit secure roof-top
hauling of a kayak. These injection molded and Stainless steel components including wide,
Kraton (TM) rollers are designed to ease loading of kayaks by creating a surface that the
craft is rolled across while the universal pivot point continuously adjusts to maintain
cushioned contact with the hull surface. Two 16' heavy duty straps are included which
are used to pull and hold the boat down and against the rollers after loading. HullyRollers
can be mounted to either round-bars or WingBars (using 2 sets of Wing MightyMounts which
are sold separately). HullyRollers are combined with Mako saddles or another pair
of HullyRollers (both sold separately) to provide hull support over both cross-bars of
the roof rack. This roller-cradle system dramatically reduces back-strain the eases the
loading of long kayaks and rowing shells.
