Still Searching?
(for something)

We have a lot of things on the Yucca Dune website and of course there are millions of things to be sought and found on the World Wide Web. In case you haven't noticed, none of these things produces lasting satisfaction. After a time with your new things, you'll be searching for something else. In fact, we humans seem to spend our lives searching - for things like: the ideal recreation; the perfect mate; the lasting moment; the sweetest sensation; and on and on. We search until we are weary of searching. Eventually, instead of things, we find ourselves searching for rest, peace, and some kind of lasting satisfaction.
At Yucca Dune, we have found these things BUT, here is where the shopping cart is of no use.
God is the true source of what you seek:
rest (eternally), peace, and satisfaction.
God is reaching out to you. He wants to offer you rest.
God loves you. He said so in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes on him shall not perish but have eternal life".

Unfortunately, your sin or wrongdoing blocks you from experiencing God's love. You are not alone because every human has done wrongful acts "We have all sinned and fallen short of God's standard" (Romans 3:23). This sin not only stands between you and God now, but also leads to eternal separation from God "For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).

Fortunately, God made a way past this obstruction to His love and fellowship. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, who was sinless, to save us from this dilemma. Jesus Christ was put to death on the cross, to pay for your sin, and all the sins of all mankind.

Jesus Christ is the only way to reach God. Before Jesus was killed, he said "I am the way, the truth, and life. No man comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). The Bible says, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men" (1 Timothy 2:5-6).

Through the work that Jesus Christ did on the cross, God created a pardon for your sin. Now instead of being cut off from God, you can have a relationship with Him. Now instead of facing an eternity of being cut off from God, you can know that you will be with God in heaven, for all time. God is extending a pardon to you because he loves you so much. This is what you need to do to receive it:

  1. Confess to God that you have done wrong. The Bible says "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9)

  2. Repent of your wrongful ways, and turn to God. Jesus said "The Kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe in the good news" (Mark 1:15).

  3. Believe in God and what Jesus did to save you from your sin. The Bible says "Believe in the Lord jesus, and you will be saved" (Acts 16:31).

  4. Receive the pardon God has provided for your sin. The Bible says "To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12).

God is waiting for you to accept his gift of forgiveness and new life. Pray to him now, using the following prayer, either aloud or just in your heart:

"Dear God, I confess that I am a sinner. I want to repent of my sins and I ask for your forgiveness. And Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that you died on the cross for my sin. I thank you for that and now I want to folow you. I receive you as my Lord and Savior, and make a committment of my life to you. With your help, I choose to serve and obey you. Please make me the person you want me to be. Thank you for dying for my sin, for your free pardon, for your gift of eternal life, and for hearing and answering my prayer. Amen."

You are now a brand new person inside with a new spiritual life. The Bible says "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" (2 Corinthians 5:17). God promises this. Believe it and accept, taking it on faith, not on feelings which change.

As a new believer, you will need to care for your spiritual life just like you care for your physical body. To start with, get a Bible and begin reading it. It is very important to find a church where other believers study God's word, worship him for his greatness, and develop friendships with other believers. If you'd like more help in finding a Bible, locating a church, or have question about how to care for your new spiritual life, email us.

Now, your searches will be truly rewarding, for as Jesus said "Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." ( Matthew 7:7).

Congratulations on your new life!
