Life-Link Variant pole/probe
$86.99
LIFE-LINK poles are designed and tested in the Tetons by backcountry engineers, "Mountain Maggots." Grips have a 6 degree corrective angle, and adjustable straps attached to quick release clips. By using a short upper and a longer lower, these poles have excellent swing weight, less drag, and low total weight. Quick probe conversion is achieved by unscrewing the lowers from the uppers and simply screwing the two lowers together to form a uniform diameter probe. Most traditional adjustable poles compress (slip) at given weights. LIFE-LINK's unique design of an ovalized lock cannot spin inside the oval upper shaft. LIFE-LINK poles are the perfect tools for serious backcountry hounds.

Grivel Condor Self-Arrest Grip
Condor is a self-arrest grip that allows conversion of existing three-section or one-piece ski poles. The resulting hybrid is a technical tool that improves safety on steep terrain, whether skiing or climbing. Condor is a perfect companion to an ice axe for classical mountaineering, allowing an upright body position to facilitate efficient breathing. The pick may be retracted when it isn't needed. The grip is available separately or securely mounted on the upper tube of a three-section pole. The tubes are sized to accommodate lower sections of most poles, and offered in alloy or carbon-fiber. A positive mechanism locks the hot-forged pick in open or closed position. The dual-density grip protects and insulates the hand, allows multiple grip positions and features a removable wrist loop that may be positioned at top or bottom of grip.
Blade: Hot-forged, ChroMoly Steel
Range of Use: Steep skiing, mountaineering, trekking
CE shaft resistance: Carbon-fiber or light allow
Weight: With alloy tube 288 g, carbon-fiber tube 270 g, without tube 230 g
