The Air Tech Evo answers professional demands for a light, full-strength mountaineering axe with technical features: hot-forged ChroMoly steel head has T-rated strength and a 4mm-thick pick to easily penetrate hard ice. The curve adds 1.5cm of clearance to adapt to odd terrain features, and protects the knuckles from the ice when choked-up on the shaft. The T-rated (400kg) shaft is finished with a hot-forged steel spike that slices into hard snow. Air Tech Evo is available with the Long Leash or the Slider (a sliding pommel that supports the fingers when using the axe in piolet traction positions but does not compromise easy penetration when driving the shaft into firm snow).
