Trango's Captain Hook is one mean tool.
The investment-cast stainless steel head will accept a WaffleHammer
™ or a the Fighting Adze™ and the picks are ready-to-go when you get
the tool. The droop is right for swinging and hooking, the teeth have
the right side-bevel for easy removal, and the profile of the last
tooth has that nasty little hook on it that won’t blow when you’re
cranking off a tiny little drool of ice. Trano uses a proprietary process to vulcanize the sticky rubber grip to the lower shafts so they’ll never come loose. Plus, you can customize the fit with a sharp knife without destroying the grip. The “Hook” is supplied with either a Hammer or Adze and the appropriate pick.
