The Regular Scoop features a structural shape that is unique to SOS manufactured shovels. The engineered design of the area where the handle joins the shovel body transfers bending stresses further down into the main portion of the scoop. This means more digging power when it is needed in the time constrained avalanche rescue scenario. The scoop size is 26 cm x 30 cm and weighs 470 grams. The Ultra 3 is the same design as the Standard, but made of aircraft aluminum for lighter weight. Aircraft aluminum scoop size is 26 cm x 30 cm and weighs 355 grams. The Ultra 6 has the lightest scoop weight of our three models. Scoop size is 26 cm x 30 cm and weighs a featherweight 285 grams. |
